Nous Resterons La “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people” -2 Timothy 3:1-5. When you contemplate these scriptures, does any of these prophecies relate to where we are in 2022? As servant leaders, we can influence others for good, it is important for us to pause and see if we have been hijacked by the darkness that surrounds us. During the crepuscular hours of July 15, 1918, the German army began crossing the Marne River in assault boats. Allied forces having already endured more than 3 hours of heavy artillery bombardment were exhausted and on the brink of being beaten. Major Gen...

Did you know that Dave Carver, candidate for Mayor of Greenfield once managed 27 Sam's Clubs throughout the midwest? It's true! I managed 27 Sam's clubs within the "Central Region" of the United States. Central Region was the largest region in the Sam's Club portfolio and generated approximately $65,000,000 in total sales each year. I was tasked with "fixing" this region when I was promoted. Within 1 year, I was able to turn this region around and took my team from last in the region to best in the region. My region had a 70.01% YOY sales lift during my first 12 months as regional manager.  So, how was I able to turn an underperforming region around so quickly? Good question!  I analysed my market by conducting store visits over the first 60 days of taking over. I took notes, talked with staff, and developed a plan of action for my team. My plan of...

Did you know that Dave Carver, candidate for mayor of Greenfield, was nominated for and won The Best of Hancock County in the Volunteer/Community Supporter category?  Yes! It's true! Dave is the only candidate for mayor that has been nominated for The Best of Hancock County award 2 years in a row. Dave was named The Best of Hancock County in the Volunteer/Community Supporter category in the inaugural contest in 2021 and again in this year's contest. Dave won by receiving an overwhelming majority of community votes last year and by an even larger number of votes this year. None of the current declared candidates for mayor have ever been nominated and only 13 people in the 2 year existence of this competition have won twice. Current mayor, Chuck Fewell is one of those 13 individuals. Unlike many other nominees for this county level competition, Dave did not solicit votes, boost posts, or use any other means to get people to vote for him other than a leadership skill that he has...
