Focused on Our Way of Life

In this election season the local politicians are telling us that the city is in good shape. All is well!  Have no fear because we have selected the right candidates to lead this city starting in 2024 and beyond.  Well friends, all is not well within the city especially since we started coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic -  • Crime is up 50-65% • Arrests are up • Gun violence is sky rocketing • Homelessness is increasing • Drug addiction and overdose deaths continue to climb § Addicts have died inside of local rehab facilities! • Suicide rates continue to climb The self-anointed elite in our city/county would have us believe we are incapable of guiding our own destiny. Incapable because they pick our leaders without your input. I don't believe that those who have been part of the problem are necessarily the best qualified to solve our current problems. I do believe that there isn't any problem we can't solve if we elect the right leaders. Leaders who wil...

Did You Know - Poster Boy

Image
Did You Know?   Dave Carver, candidate for Mayor of Greenfield, was the poster boy for the United States Air Force Law Enforcement Specialist position for over 10 years?  It’s true! I was the “poster boy” for the Air Force and had my picture on display at the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio for just over 10 years.   I was nominated for Security Police officer of the year in the Spring of 1986. I participated in numerous interviews and examinations along with my fellow nominees. The examinations were designed to establish how much knowledge that each candidate had about the Air Force, their position, and their dedication to serving their nation. The interviews were designed to establish how each airman carried themselves, how they presented themselves (wore the uniform) and whether the candidate would be a good public representative of the U.S. Air Force. All those qualities are necessary for a candidate to be awarded the prestigious...

Unique Individuals – United for Our Community

Unique Individuals – United for Our Community (Inspired by Dr Charles Stanley)   Can you imagine a community where all the people were alike? Our choices in literature, music, art, clothing, entertainment, and foods.. Our thoughts, our opinions, our conversations would all be the same because our uniqueness would be gone! In many instances, we have given up on what makes each of us unique individuals while chasing the “American Dream.” Over the years, our career politicians have instilled in us the illusion that we can control our destiny through the pursuit of economic opportunity while giving them control of our thoughts, opinions, and choices regarding what is best for our communities. Have you noticed how many career/lifetime politicians, affecting the lives of all of us, are not operating under the idea of democratic consent? Each making decisions on the basis of their own advantage and not for the public good?  We must live in a city where we can p...

Did You Know 6/40 - The Law of Process

Did you know that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month? Did you know that Dave Carver, candidate for Mayor of Greenfield, was the first detective assigned to the Domestic Violence Investigation Unit within the Indianapolis Police Department? It’s true! Dave was offered the opportunity to become the first detective assigned to the unit and worked alongside his academy classmate detective Gina Jones.  In the beginning, there were only 2 detectives assigned to work the entire city of Indianapolis. Dave worked the east side of the city and Gina worked the west side. Obviously, there were far too many calls to investigate domestic violence so as the unit developed, Dave and Gina were called out to investigate the most serious cases. Oftentimes those cases involved violence that resulted in serious bodily harm to the victim and cases where the victim and children needed to be relocated to safe houses and shelters to prevent further violence once the offender was released fr...
